Liverpool Sink Tottenham as Salah Shines

Reds Thrash Spurs 6-0

Liverpool piled the pressure on at the top of the table with a resounding 6-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur. Mohamed Salah, Curtis Jones, and Cody Gakpo were on target for the Reds, who dominated from start to finish.

Salah opened the scoring in the third minute with a clinical finish into the bottom corner. Jones doubled the lead just before the half-hour mark with a stunning strike from outside the box. Gakpo added a third just after the break with a powerful header.

The goals continued to flow in the second half as Salah completed his brace in the 58th minute. Roberto Firmino made it 5-0 with a close-range finish, before Harvey Elliott added a sixth in stoppage time.

The victory takes Liverpool to within two points of leaders Manchester City, who drew 2-2 with Aston Villa. Salah's goals have taken his tally for the season to 25, and he is now the Premier League's leading scorer.

Tottenham, meanwhile, remain in fifth place, four points behind Newcastle United. They will be looking to bounce back when they host Brighton & Hove Albion in their next fixture.
