ACPIMSFT0101: Device Details and Hotfix Information
Background and Problem Description
The ACPIMSFT0101 device corresponds to the TPM module, which does not have a driver and is only compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. If you need to run Windows 7 32-bit, check your PC's BIOS for a setting to turn off the TPM.
Hotfix Availability
Intel recommends that only Skylake processors are used with Windows 7. However, for Kabylake platform products, Intel provides a hotfix that adds support for Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 in Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.
