Sorcery Points: Fuel for Sorcerous Abilities

Sorcerers, masters of innate magical abilities, rely on Sorcery Points as the lifeblood of their magic. These points empower Sorcerers to enhance their spells, manipulate the flow of time, and even alter the fabric of reality.

Proficiencies and Starting Equipment

Sorcerers are proficient with daggers, darts, slings, quarterstaffs, and light crossbows. Their starting equipment includes a light crossbow and 20 bolts, a dagger, a component pouch or an arcane focus, and leather armor.

Sorcery Points and Hit Points

Sorcerers gain a number of Sorcery Points equal to their Sorcerer level. They can use these points to fuel various abilities, including:

  • Casting spells with Metamagic
  • Creating spell slots
  • Healing themselves with the Aid spell
  • Manipulating time with the Subtle Spell metamagic

Sorcerers also have a higher Hit Point maximum compared to other spellcasters. At 1st level, they have 6 Hit Points plus their Constitution modifier. This allows them to endure more damage in combat.
