The Miami Heat's pursuit of a third consecutive NBA championship came to an end on Friday night as the Boston Celtics pulled off a thrilling 104-103 victory in Game 6 to force a deciding Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Despite trailing by 32 points with less than 10 minutes remaining, the Heat mounted a furious comeback, outscoring the Celtics 45-20 in the fourth quarter. However, Derrick White's tip-in at the buzzer sealed the win for Boston, securing a 1-1 draw in the home-and-home series.
The Celtics were led by Jayson Tatum, who finished with a game-high 33 points and 11 rebounds. Jaylen Brown added 22 points, while Marcus Smart contributed 21 points and 11 assists. The Heat were paced by Tyler Herro with 24 points, followed by Bam Adebayo with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals will take place on Sunday night at FTX Arena in Miami. The winner will advance to face the Western Conference champion Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.
